The wide, short cut of the Flex Boot, for a naturally round or upright hoof whose width is close to its length. It keeps the Regular width bands but pulls the length in, so a rounder hoof is not swimming in extra toe length.
Width is measured across the widest point of the hoof on the ground surface. Length is measured from the toe to the buttress line at the back of the heel, not including the heel bulbs. Measure within two weeks of a fresh trim.
The Wide is short, not extra roomy. Choose it when your width is within 5 mm of your length; if the hoof is clearly longer than wide, the Regular is the correct cut.
