A flexible rubber-soled jogging shoe sized so the size number equals the hoof length in whole centimetres. Width is quoted as an upper limit only, because the flexible upper closes down onto a narrower hoof.
Width is measured across the widest point of the hoof on the ground surface. Length is measured from the toe to the buttress line at the back of the heel, not including the heel bulbs. Measure within two weeks of a fresh trim.
Fusion sizes on length in centimetres, so a 118 mm hoof is a size 12, not 11. The width figure is a maximum, not a band, so a narrow hoof in the right length is fine.
