Cavallo's best-selling all-round boot, an easy-entry Velcro design in Regular and Slim soles. Cavallo publishes the length band per size; the Slim sole runs 6 mm narrower than long, the Regular sole runs the same width as length or a touch wider.
Width is measured across the widest point of the hoof on the ground surface. Length is measured from the toe to the buttress line at the back of the heel, not including the heel bulbs. Measure within two weeks of a fresh trim.
Cavallo sizes on length, then you pick sole width. If your width is 6 mm or more under your length, choose the Slim sole in that size; otherwise the Regular sole.
Cavallo's own rule: the Slim sole is 6 mm narrower than long and suits an oval hoof, the Regular sole suits a hoof whose width equals its length or is slightly wider. Width more than two sizes under length means the Trek is not the boot.
