A wide, square-band therapy and turnout boot whose length and width bands are equal, so it suits a round hoof or one carrying a dressing. Sized on a single number that covers a broad millimetre range.
Width is measured across the widest point of the hoof on the ground surface. Length is measured from the toe to the buttress line at the back of the heel, not including the heel bulbs. Measure within two weeks of a fresh trim.
The Zip bands are very wide, so several sizes can contain one hoof. It is a stable and recovery boot, not a riding boot; fit it to clear the wrap, not for a close performance fit.
