The wide cut of the Glove Soft, for a round hoof whose width equals its length. Each wide size shares its length band with the regular size but carries a wider width band, so a round hoof is not forced into a longer boot to get the width.
Width is measured across the widest point of the hoof on the ground surface. Length is measured from the toe to the buttress line at the back of the heel, not including the heel bulbs. Measure within two weeks of a fresh trim.
Pick a wide size only when your measured width matches your length within a couple of millimetres. A longer-than-wide hoof wants the regular Glove Soft in the same number.
